This week: A double edition of the Hammadown! Robin brings fancy-adjacent wines. We pretty actively don’t give a shit about the Super Bowl. Joe has a big night, begging the question, “Who are you and what have you done with Joe?” Cockman is offered a deal on cookies that he simply can’t pass up. Oh, and we play some poker. Almost forgot.

This week: A longstanding rule is adamantly opposed by an infrequent player. Said player takes his frustration out on my screen door, which then leads up to a storybook happy ending. (But not the massage kind.) Joe orders pizza and makes sure we all know about it. Eddie cracks wise with some classics. And last game’s big winner is this game’s big loser. The cycle of poker-life continuous unabated.

This week: We celebrate an old friend with some Wonder-ful music; Eddie sits out the first few hands, though technically he stands out; Cockman and Clayton go head to head more than once; we laugh even more than usual, and at made-up things that are even weirder than usual; and we play cards that we bet money on.

This week: For our last game of 2023, we do that voodoo that we do so well. Great music, great cards, shitty cards, great cards that are unfortunately not as great as someone else’s greater cards. A fine mix of new and used humorosity. Rod Stewart’s questionable diet is discussed. Joe shows that sometimes he really does know when to fold ’em. And Hank is all smiles… at least when he wins gigantic pots.

This week: I unearth yet another Ye Olden Hammadown—this one not quite as olden as the previous, but still… what’s with my laziness?!
Our queen gets kings. Cigar-shaped objects are distributed. Jingles jangle. Jokes are told—old and new. And actual poker is played at certain intervals throughout the night.

This week: I unearth a centuries (and/or year) old Hammadown and go to work on it like a shitty old house on one of those fixer-upper shows. Specifically, that one show called Fixer Upper. Pics were added after an easy search on my phone turned them up in all their glory. Everything below the pics was already in the previously unpublished Hamma.
